The National Alliance on Mental Illness is a national organization with affiliates in all 50 states dedicated to improving the quality of life for those affected by mental illness. Extensive resources on the latest research, legislative and advocacy efforts, support groups and recovery.

NAMI Massachusetts is the Massachusetts chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Extensive resources available through 24 state affiliates, free workshops, family and consumer support groups, legislative advocacy, links to research and helpful websites.

The Parent/Professional Advocacy League is an organization of parents and professionals in Massachusetts who advocate on behalf of children with mental, emotional or behavioral special needs and their families in order to effect family empowerment and system change. Extensive resources include helpful websites for parents, listings of parent support groups, workshops, publications, and legislative updates.

Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health is a national parent-run organization supporting the needs of children and youth with emotional, behavioral or mental disorders and their families. Extensive listing of resources and advocacy efforts.

National Mental Health Services Knowledge Exchange Network has comprehensive information and resources on prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services for mental illness.
- National Institute of Mental Health is the lead Federal agency for research on mental and behavioral disorders. An extensive site for all mental health related concerns.
